Yoga Day Celebration with Krishna Guruji in Vande Bharat Express

Krishna Guruji from Indore led a complete yoga journey aboard the Vande Bharat Express. The train greeted the sunrise of International Yoga Day with a collective salutation. As the sun’s first rays appeared, the yoga day began with energy and devotion inside the Vande Bharat Express.

The Bhopal–Delhi–Bhopal Vande Bharat Express, meanwhile, witnessed a unique celebration this year. Yoga Guruji Krishna Mishra (Krishna Guruji) began the day’s first yoga session in Coach C1 of the train at 5:42 AM, starting with “Yoga Pranam.”

Guruji explained that yoga is not merely a fitness tool; instead, it is an integral part of our life. In modern times, we often reduce yoga to just a way to lose weight or fight disease. But the theme of this year — “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — reminds us that yoga unites all through breath, which is equal for all.

Benefits of Seated Yoga on Train

Guruji guided passengers through various seated yoga practices like Shikhar Asan, neck movements, and Surya Namaskar. He also led Pitru Pranayam, Paschimottanasana, and Chakrasana. These practices help during long sitting hours in train journeys.

Through easy pranayama and meditation, one can move from breath to consciousness. As a result, they can reach a meditative state known as “Samadhi.” Guruji expressed gratitude to the Ministry of AYUSH and highlighted that removing OM from yoga doesn’t diminish its essence but aligns it with humanitarian values.

Vijay Kelkar (Bhopal): “It was my first time doing yoga in a moving train—it truly woke me up!”
Namita Kalra (Agra): “After pranayam, my body felt lighter and my mind was calm.”

Participants included Pranay and Surendra Mishra from Bhopal, and Manav Kalra from Agra. Even at Nizamuddin Station Platform 5, porters, passengers, and others joined in. While returning from Delhi to Bhopal, the message of ‘Yoga in Every Courtyard’ was again shared with all travelers.
