International Yoga Day 2022 with Krishna Guruji
Celebrate International Yoga Day 2022 with Krishna Guruji as he leads a transformative yoga session for over 200 railway porters at Nizamuddin Railway Station, New Delhi. This unique initiative, organized by the Krishna Guruji Social Welfare Society, promoted the theme of “Yoga for Humanity.”
During this special event, Krishna Guruji introduced breathing-based postures including Shikhar Asana, Pitru Pranayama, Bhastrika, and Nadi Shodhan. By synchronizing their breath with their body movements, porters discovered how to reduce physical fatigue and improve stamina. Furthermore, the focus on inner calm and physical balance created a noticeable shift in their energy.
Recognitions were thoughtfully offered to participants across generations. As a result, senior coolies, women porters, and academically successful children were awarded the Karmyogi Trophy. In a heartfelt testimony, coolie Chironji Lal said, “We always knew yoga existed, but Guruji taught us how it fits into our daily labor. That made all the difference.”
Vipul Goel, former Industry Minister of Haryana, attended the event and appreciated the effort. In addition, volunteers such as Kapil Bagadia, Heena Verma, Mohit Chopra, and Geeta Kharbanda provided tireless support. Meanwhile, Station Manager Irshad Ahmed expressed that the event deeply touched the lives of hardworking porters, inspiring them to move away from substance dependency.
Moreover, Krishna Guruji’s teachings showcased how simple pranayama can improve awareness and alertness. Many participants, as a result, shared that they felt lighter, more aware, and motivated after the session. Eventually, this initiative became a symbol of social upliftment through spiritual science. Thus, it proved that yoga is for everyone — even at a busy railway platform.
