On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, Krishna Guruji conducted an enlightening online Breathing Workshop. In this session, he explained how breath awareness can harmonize body, mind, and soul.
Key Teachings by Krishna Guruji:
- If you are breathing, you are Shiva; if not, you are a shav (corpse).
- Life exists between the first and last breath. At birth, we cry, and the world laughs. At death, the world cries, and we are silent.
- Breath is directly connected to the mind:
- Happy mind – calm breath
- Angry mind – fast breath
- Sad mind – short and broken breath
- Breath eliminates 90% of toxins from the body.
- If the mind is a kite, breath is its string – this is the essence of pranayama.
- Just like everything has rhythm, so does breath. Finding the rhythm of your breath is true yoga.
Moreover, this workshop is designed to guide participants through the power of breath and reconnect them with their inner healing potential.
As we approach International Yoga Day 2025, it’s the perfect time to embrace breathwork as a tool for emotional and physical well-being
Breath Awareness Practice:
- Sit in Sukhasana (easy pose), close your eyes, and focus on your birth date, time, and place.
- Raise your hands to the sky in Namaste – this is called Shikhar Asana. Visualize a divine energy pulling you upward.
- Keep your spine straight.
- Inhale deeply and mentally chant your name. Hold your breath for a moment.
- Exhale slowly and completely.
- Repeat this cycle 11 times.
Conclusion:
Each incoming breath energizes the body, and each outgoing breath provides relaxation. All participants experienced this divine connection, ending with a calming meditation led by Krishna Guruji.
