Ujjain, India | March 25, 2025 – A captivating story from the newly documented Kaliyug Puran by Krishna Guruji sheds light on the deep wisdom of Sanatan Dharma through the witty lens of Akbar and Birbal. This lesser-known tale, grounded in both spiritual insight and scientific logic, is now being recognized as a symbol of how Hindu traditions have always merged faith with reason.
The Story: A Walk That Taught a Lesson
As per the tale, one evening Akbar and Birbal were walking when Birbal bowed respectfully before a Tulsi plant, referring to it as Tulsi Mata. Curious and skeptical, Akbar mocked the act, uprooting the plant and jokingly saying, “Look, I uprooted your mother!”
Birbal said nothing and walked on. Later, they encountered a large poisonous plant. Birbal again bowed from a distance. Akbar, thinking it another sacred symbol, uprooted it too. But this time, his body was soon overcome with intense itching.
Panicked, Akbar asked, “Who is this second mother of yours?”
Birbal replied, “This isn’t our mother. This is our father—strict and unforgiving.”
As Akbar pleaded for relief, Birbal suggested that only Gau Mata (the sacred cow) could help. The solution? Apply cow dung all over his body and wait. Akbar complied—and after hours of discomfort, finally found relief.
Spiritual Message with Scientific Backing
According to Krishna Guruji, this story is not mere folklore—it’s a teaching model.
“Tulsi Mata represents the gentle energy of healing, while the poisonous plant represents karmic consequence. Gau Mata, and her dung, symbolically and scientifically represent purification,” Guruji explains.
Tulsi has proven antibacterial and antiviral properties, purifies air, and is known to relieve stress and skin conditions.
Cow dung, long mocked in modern circles, is now being studied for its antifungal and antiseptic effects, especially in rural dermatology and natural farming.
Kaliyug Puran – Reviving Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times
This story is part of Kaliyug Puran, a spiritual and rational anthology by Krishna Guruji that connects ancient wisdom with today’s logic-driven youth.
Guruji, a spiritual healer and Vedantic guide, shares such stories with scientific clarity to help bridge the gap between faith and reason.
“Modern science is just catching up to what our seers already practiced. Sanatan Dharma was always ahead—it’s time we recognize it,” says Guruji.
